Is Taekwondo like Karate?    (top)
Taekwondo is often compared to Karate because of the kicks and some similar hand movements. Taekwondo is very different in that 70% of our fighting is done with the legs and 30% with our hands. Most kick boxers have had training in Taekwondo, where they have learned many different types of jump kicks with several twists and turns.

Is my child too young for Taekwondo?    (top)
Age 4 is good age for children to begin their Taekwondo training. At this age especially, children have A LOT of energy, and enjoy jumping and kicking movements. It's often been said that Taekwondo was made for children: to focus their energies, to learn self-discipline and respect for themselves and others, and to have FUN!
